With the business AA card, do you use this along with your other AA cards? Is it worth it to have more than one AA card and how do you keep track of it all without it becoming too confusing? :)
I'm getting the business AA just for the bonus. The $95 credit will take care of the first year fee. I'm going to test it out and see if I want/need it for business expenses, but I don't expect at this point to use it too much. I will put personal expenses on it to get the bonus, pay it off, and then go back to using my good ol' AA Citi Platinum Select.
I keep a spreadsheet of all the cards my husband and I have. Currently, for daily use, we each have an AA Citi and a Chase Sapphire Preferred.
I have a United Card that I don't use anymore and probably need to cancel.
I have a Hotels.com and Hilton Honors Amex that I just tested recently for their bonus. I doubt I will use them again beyond the bonus either. Neither have an annual fee, so I'll probably keep them forever just to boost my credit score.
Again, all of these I keep track of an a spreadsheet and I only use my AA Citi and Chase Sapphire on a regular basis, making adjustments when I'm trying to earn a bonus on a new card.
I typically cancel a card that has an annual fee after a year if I don't find it useful, but I try to be very careful and only cancel when necessary. The credit score will take a quick hit for a month or two, but quickly recover as long as I never miss a payment on my other cards.
It's all about your level of comfort and your confidence in yourself to keep order of it all.

Good questions, Sarah.
