What is the Eurovision Song Contest?

If you can imagine the SuperBowl, American Idol and America’s Got Talent all wrapped up into one you still can’t even get close. Eurovision is more equal to the World Cup of European musical entertainment…national pride supreme.

Eurovision has been televised annually in all of Europe since May 24, 1956. Abba and Celine Dion were discovered on the Eurovison stage. It’s fabulous and it’s a cultural tradition that crosses borders and brings out community and competition which rallies national camaraderie at it’s finest.

Eurovision is quirky and fabulous and a really fun way to gain insight into a culture not our own.
