A Holiday in Your Ears - The Earful Sweden
A series of 5 travel podcasts that won't disappoint - #5
Here it is, the final of my top 5 podcasts that, in my opinion, won’t disappoint…
Can you remember back to #1? If so, you already know that Oliver Gee is my absolute favorite travel podcaster for so many reasons. The Earful Tower gains my top rating every time. (Here it is again, if you missed it.) So, it will probably make perfect sense that I am going to “ooooo and ahhhhh” over just about anything he produces; memoirs, children’s books AND a podcast about Sweden. This, of course, is why my #5 travel podcast is The Earful Sweden Podcast, once again, by Oliver Gee.
I never knew that I even wanted or needed an ear full of Sweden until Oliver produced this podcast. To be fair, The Earful Sweden is currently only one season long and was created to serve as more of an experiment for him to see if there might be appetite for taking his audience beyond Paris. There is, and I really hope he gives us a Season 2 soon.
Oliver is an Aussie journalist who spent years working in Sweden before picking his life up and moving to the City of Lights, where he now calls home. His wife, Lina, is also originally from Sweden. As with The Earful Tower, The Earful Sweden is produced from a journalistic artistry that I have found very rare in other podcasts. It is entertaining, intelligent, unique and endearing. I’d be willing to bet that if you give it a try you’ll realize your immediate and unknown need for all things Swedish, too.
So, happy weekend, travel friends! I hope you treat yourself to a little FIKA with The Earful Sweden in your ears today. What a great 30 Minute Holiday!
